Proper MLA citation form is not an easy skill to master by any means. In fact, we found it to be one of the most difficult parts of the writing process. We experimented with other citation forms online, and found them all to be lacking in both style and substance. For example, we tried creating a citation when we did not have the "publisher" of a given work; the form would leave stray periods and excess spaces for the user to sort out. This is far from ideal. We wanted a citation creator that produced proper form with the information we gave it. We sat down, thought about it, and this is what we came up with. Our citations are based upon the MLA Handbook, by Joseph Gibaldi:
There are many intricacies involved with perfect MLA form and every teacher has their own style of utilizing it. We recommend that our users consult both the handbook and their teacher before submitting a final paper using our citations. Once again, we stress that due to the enormous variety of citation elements, it is impossible for us to be 100% accurate. We welcome your feedback and hope our website is of help to you.
